The German Shepherd

A must-have even for casual picnickers and would-be chefs.

hfgv

A MUST HAVE!!Although these groups come and go, Laird Wilcox keeps track with the groups listed and hardly anyone is missed in the next year's edition.
A MUST HAVE database for anyone who is interested in the study of social/political extremism and provides "contact" information for each group listed.

A gem of a bookThe concepts in her book are incredibly simple. But therein lies their complexity. In her first "thought" she writes: the young men of France are studying alchemy, hoping to learn the secret of the transmutation of gold. But if you will study your own spirit and its limitless powers, you will gain a greater secret than any alchemist ever held; a secret which shall give you whatever you desire.
Now that is some promise! And with serious, repetitive "thought work," it is possible. Ms. Wilcox explains why we need to control our thoughts and how we can achieve this. She describes various facets of the mind and how it is used to heal or to maim. But do not be tricked by the refreshing simplicity of her writings, nor put off by her sometimes stern manner. Each word is worth its weight in gold.
This book is like a chat with a good friend. Its words speak directly to the heart and urge us to be just a little more us. You will find that you turn to the book for inspiration, wisdom, companionship... Its words can be read over and over and each time yet another facet (of yourself) revealed.
Ms. Wilcox jars our thinking, and challengs us to become who we really are. At the same time she makes us laugh at ourselves and our gullibility. Forget about complaining, there are no obstacles, why worry...Remember, Man is what he thinks. And she repetively reminds us of this as well as of our own Divinity. Powerful stuff indeed!
Ernest Holmes drew on her teachings in his creation of the Science of Mind Philosophy. Perhaps that is from whence comes the famous Science of mInd motto, Change your thinking, change your life! Think about it! It is that simple!

I wanna read this book

Move Over Judy BlumeSo many Christian writers get so caught up in espousing good, old-fashioned values that they forget that fiction is about story-telling. The author of "If I'd Only Known...", Edee Wilcox, is not one of those writers.
At first it is not evident that his book was written for a Christian audience, or, perhaps, for a lapsed Christian audience. Religion doesn't seem to be an issue for the protagonist, a 10th grader with popularity on her side but little self-confidence to go with it. Her problems do not seem to be earth-shaking, but the usual 15-year-old stuff; she and her mother tend to fall into patterns quite prevalent in today's culture. Disaster, of course, is the result and, in the tradition of Judy Blume, Wilcox does not shirk from describing the results of these failings honestly.
That our heroine gets off lightly bothers me. "If I'd Only Known..." would have benefited from a parallel story about a young girl who was not so lucky, perhaps one whose parents were not open to honest communication and who suffers for it. Still, this book is a page-turner, one that most parents would want their daughters to read. It is also one that a young girl will enjoy reading. That is a battle hard-won in its genre and gratefully so.
(Carolyn Howard-Johnson's coming-of-age story, This is the Place, has won eight awards. It is about a young journalist in the 50s who must find the courage to live her own life.)

Some of America's finest poetry!
I thought it was a very good book because it tells you about German shepherds.
About the book it tells you everything you need to know about German shepherds what the eat and what they do. It tells you breeding German Shepherds and cops mostly use German shepherds because they're more protective. They also used German shepherds in the war to bring notes to other people to tell them what to do. And German shepherds where the first train dogs to use! German shepherds make a very good family pet as long as they have a lot of fun!
A police dog is an officer's best friend! If you have or want a German shepherd give them fresh water every day.
I think this is a good book for everyone to read because it's not too hard to read! I recommend this book because it's easy to read and it's a guide to have a German shepherd so you can have fun with your German shepherd.
